Tuesday, 19 May 2009

The Higher Education Academy, through it's 'Scottish Higher Education Employability Network' (SHEEN) has commissioned an exciting project aimed at developing partersnhip between universities and the voluntary sector - particularly the creation of student work placements and volunteering learning experiences within voluntary sector organisations.

The project will take place over the coming year, involving research to determine the needs of the three sets of stakeholders (universities, students and vol orgs) and develop a set of pilot placements.

The project has a blog which can be found here.

A survey was recently launched for staff of voluntary sector organisations, and responses are sought. Future surveys are expected aimed at university staff and students.

The vol org staff survey can be found here.
